The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi, is organizing a Webinar on Understanding the Impact of COVID-19 on India’s Energy System & Economy on November 23, 2020, from 2:30 pm onwards.
The Energy and Resources Institute is a research institute in New Delhi that specializes in the fields of energy, environment, and sustainable development. Established in 1974, it was formerly known as the Tata Energy Research Institute.
Objectives
This question is linked also to the stimulus measures and structural reforms undertaken or planned by the Government of India, which could play a substantial role in reshaping the energy system in the short and medium-term. This webinar will focus on how India can create opportunities for a green and inclusive economic recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.

The key questions to be addressed will essentially include:
- What is the likely impact of COVID-19 on the economy and Indian energy system in 2020 and the next few years?
- What are the key strategies for inclusive and green recovery for sustainable growth best suited in the Indian policy landscape?
