Tezpur University was established by an Act of Parliament in 1994. The objects of this Central University as envisaged in the statutes are that it shall strive to offer employment oriented and interdisciplinary courses to meet the local and regional aspirations and the development needs of the state of Assam and also offer courses and promote research in areas which are of special and direct relevance to the region and in emerging areas in Science and Technology.

Eligibility
Professor: A Ph.D. Degree with First Class at Bachelor’s (in Design / any branch of Engineering & Technology) or Master’s Degree (in Design) and experience often (10) years in teaching, research and / or industry, out of which at least three years at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent grade.
A total Research Score of one hundred and twenty (120) as per the criteria given in Appendix IJ, Table 2 of the UGC Regulations, 2018.
Asst Professor: For Department of Design: First Class Master’s Degree in Design and the Bachelor’s degree in Design / any branch of Engineering & Technology.
For the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering: First Class Master’s Degree in Electronics / Communication / Electronics & Communication Engineering and Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering.

A hard copy (pdf of the application submitted online, duly signed by the candidate, and supported by self-certified photocopies of all supporting documents, must reach The Registrar, Tezpur University, P.O. Napaam, Dist. Sonitpur, PIN7: 84028, Assam.
Registration fee
Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. One thousand only; Nil from SC, ST, PWD) in the form of Crossed Demand Draft in favour of Registrar, Tezpur University, payable at Tezpur (Tezpur University Branch in case of State Bank of India). The Demand Draft should not be drawn before the date of issue of the advertisement.
Applicants are also to write his / her name and the post applied for on the backside of the draft. The application fee can also be paid through internet banking as detailed in the Online Recruitment Portal.
