SRF Under SERB Funded Project at JNU, New Delhi: Apply by April 15

Applications are invited for SRF Under SERB Funded Project at JNU, New Delhi for the year 2022. The last date of application is 15 April.

Applications are invited for One (1) post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) funded by the SERB to work on the project entitled “Understanding the role and regulation of ferroportin in reactive oxygen species-induced activation of microglia”. The project is likely up to December 2024.

Eligibility

Qualification: The project needs rigorous work involving gene expression in mammalian microglia/ macrophages and iron homeostasis. The preference will be given to the candidate who has excellent experience on techniques on molecular and cell biology related to iron homeostasis, macrophages microglia and gene expression with adequate experience in handling animals.

Essential: M. Sc or equivalent in any branch of biological sciences with at least two years of research experience in the area of mammalian gene expression in related to iron homeostasis and/or reactive oxygen species, working experience with mammalian cell culture particularly macrophages/microglia.

Desirable: At least one publication in the related (review or peer reviewed journal or book chapter/book). In case of communicated manuscript the evidence needs to be included in the application.

Fellowship

As per SERB approval + HRA (as permissible).
