Research Fellow at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana: Apply by Oct 15

The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) in Ludhiana is largest agriculture university in Asia.[citation needed] It is a state agricultural university in India. It was established in 1962 and is the nation’s third-oldest agricultural university, after Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar and Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneshwar.

Applications are invited on the plain paper along with Bank Draft for Rs.200/- in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana on any working day along with attested copies of certificates for one post of Research Fellow in the Ad hoc project, Value addition of wastes from potato processing industry and mandis of Ludhiana District” under Secondary Agriculture Entrepreneurial Network (SAEN) in Punjab.

Essential Qualifications
  • B.Sc. with minimum OCPA of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks aggregate.
  • M.Sc. Microbiology/M.Sc. Food Technology/M Tech Processing and Food Engineering with minimum OCPA of 6.5 out of 10 or 65% aggregate.
  • The candidate, who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.
  • Should have cleared NET/GATE/ICAR/such examination at national or state level.
Salary

Rs.31,000 + 16 % HRA Rs.4960/- per month fixed

How to Apply?

The last date for receipt of applications duly complete in all respects in this office is 15.10.2020 upto 04.00 pm. Incomplete applications or unsupported by the documents will not be entertained. The candidates should appear for interview on 19.10.2020 at 11.00 am in the office of the undersigned along with the original certificates. No separate information for interview will be sent and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

The amount of first full month fellowship payable to the Research Fellow will be kept as security with the Head, Department of Microbiology and will be paid to him/her as and when he/she leaves the fellowship after giving one month’s notice or deposits the amount of one months’ fellowship. The Research Fellow resigning the fellowship shall have to give one months’ notice or have to deposit one months’ salary in lieu of one months’ notice. However, it will not hold well in respect of other assignments in the PAU.
