About IUAC
Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC) was set-up by the University Grants Commission as the first Inter-University Centre (IUC) called Nuclear Science Centre after due approval of the Planning Commission and the Prime Minister in October, 1984. Its construction started in December, 1986 and completed in time on December 19, 1990.
The basic objective of Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC) is to provide front ranking accelerator based research facilities to create possibilities for internationally competitive research within the university system.
Eligibility
- IUAC intends to appoint Research Associates (RA) for Energetic Ion Beam based experimental Research work in Nuclear Physics / Materials Science / Radiation Biology / Accelerator Mass Spectrometry and Atomic and Molecular Physics.
- Those who have a Ph.D. degree (or submitted thesis) in the areas of experimental research in the above disciplines can apply.
- The candidate should have a good academic record and research experience as evidenced from published papers in standard referred journals.
- Candidates having research experience in the area of Ion-beam based experiments will be preferred.
Research Areas
Nuclear Physics/ Materials Science/ Radiation Biology/ Accelerator Mass Spectrometry and Atomic and Molecular Physics.
