Applications are invited for Research Associate (Molecular Medicine) Under SERB Funded Project at JNU, New Delhi for the year 2022. The last date of application is 15 April.
One Research Associate (RA) position is available in the SERB-CRG sponsored project (CRG/2021/000238) titled ‘Translating the Phylogenetic affinities between a plant pathogenic oomycete Phytophthora infestans and a human pathogen Plasmodium falciparum to reveal evolutionary convergence in virulence secretion using in-silico, proteomic and metabolomic approaches.’
Eligibility
Essential: Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Biology/Plant Biotechnology/Botany/Biotechnology/ Microbiology or related areas with at least 2 years work experience.
Desirable: Experience in gene cloning and mutagenesis, recombinant protein expression and purification is desired. Preference will be given to candidates having first-hand experience in handling and culturing of Phytophthora or related plant pathogens under laboratory conditions, their genetic mutagenesis and imaging by fluorescence microscopy techniques on a case-by-case basis.
Duration
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. The selected candidate will be appointed on temporary basis, initially for a period of one year, and then may be extended, based on satisfactory performance, by the Principal Investigator for a maximum period of three years.
Salary
Rs. 47,000 plus 24% HRA/month.
