About the Organisation
Forum for Trade Remedies (FFTR), is a pan India association formed to supplement the efforts of various industry stakeholders and provide whatever support is needed by them in matters related to trade defence measures (i.e. anti-dumping, safeguard and anti-subsidy), foreign trade policy, free trade agreements and other international trade/policy issues.
About the Internship
FFTR is calling for both full time & part-time Research Assistants (RAs) starting from the month of September ’19. The RA would be working on the ongoing research projects of FFTR, and would also contribute to the monthly newsletter.
The minimum duration of this RA position is 4 weeks, which can be extended depending upon the performance of the candidate and availability of the positions.
Note: Since there is a possibility of working as a part-time RA, the time commitment would be a minimum of 20 hours per week at the FFTR office from Monday to Friday. The timings/slot can be adjusted accordingly to the schedule of the candidates that are chosen for the RA positions.
Qualifications and Skills Required
The minimum eligibility criteria require the applicants to be:
- Students in the final year of their 3-year law course or students in 4th or 5th year of their 5-year integrated law course. They should have studied international trade law.
- Students pursuing a Masters in Economics with a specialisation in international trade.
- Students in the final year of their 3-year course in Public Policy or Public Administration, with interest in international trade laws.
Number of Vacancies
2-3 positions are available each month
Stipend
Rs 5000 per month for full-time RAs; and Rs 2500 per month for part-time RAs.

A Cover Letter (not more than 500 words) with an updated CV need to be mailed at and the last date for applying for September is 25th August 2019. Shortlisted candidates will be selected by a personal/telephonic interview.
