Applications are invited for purely temporary posts on a contractual basis for the ‘National Resource Centre for Oral Healthcare of Children & Elderly’ under the National Oral Health Programme, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh.

Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) is a premier medical and research institution in Chandigarh, India, consistently ranked in the top among the institutes for medical education in India and is an ‘Institute of National Importance’. It has educational, medical research, and training facilities for its students. It is the leading tertiary care hospital of the region and caters to patients from all over Punjab, J&K, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana.

It has all the latest facilities including all specialties, super specialties, and subspecialties. Apart from the clinical services, PGI boasts of training in almost all disciplines of Medicine including post-graduate and post-doctoral degrees, diploma and fellowships. There are more than 50 such training courses in the institute. Since it is a post-graduate institute, it does not have facilities for undergraduate MBBS courses.

Qualifications

For Research Officer/ Research Sceintist-B (Medical)

1. BDS degree.
2. MDS degree in Public Health Dentistry/ Prosthodontics.
3. Registered with DCI.
4. Experience of working in dental public health-related projects.
5. Not exceeding 35 years of age.
6. Basic knowledge of computer and computer-based applications.

For Senior Research Fellow

1. BDS degree.
2. Registered with DCI.
3. Added dental public health-related qualifications
4. Not exceeding 35 years of age.
5. Experience of working in public health-related projects.
6. Basic knowledge of computer and computer-based applications.

For Field cum Data Entry Operator

1. Intermediate or 12th pass in science stream from a recognized board.
2. With DOEACC “A” level from a recognized institute.
3. Not exceeding 28 years of age.
4. Experience of working in public health-related field projects.
5. Typing Speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour through speed test on computer.

• Age and experience will be counted till the last date of closure of applications.
• The post applied for should be marked clearly on top of the .application form as well as the subject of the email.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for the online interview to be held on 27.10.2020 at I0:00 AM (other details to be communicated later).
• The above assignment is purely on a contract basis initially for one year. however, it can be extended further up to two years or more based on performance and the duration of the said project.
• Applications lacking complete information as per the proforma or failure in the submission of copies of relevant documents will be liable to be rejected without any communication.
• This appointment will not vest any right to claim by the candidate for regular appointment or permanent absorption in the Institute or for a continued contractual appointment which may be renewed or terminated on the basis of satisfactory performance and conduct.
• The competent Authority reserves the right to change the number of vacancies. withdraw the process in full or in part and also the right to reject any or all applications received without assigning any reasons or giving notices etc.
• He/ she should also note that he/she will have to conform to the rules of discipline and conduct as applicable to the Institute employees.
• No traveling or other allowances will be paid to the candidate for an interview or for joining the post.
• The candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
• If any declaration is given or information furnished by the candidate proves to be false or if the candidate is found to have willfully suppressed any material information, he/she will be liable to be removed from service or such action as the appointing authority may deem fit.
• The decision of the Competent Authority regarding the selection of the candidate will be final and no representations will be entertained in this regard.
• Canvassing of any kind will be a disqualification.
