The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun invites application for Engagement of Project Fellow (2 nos.) for ongoing project “Recovery of Dugong and their habitats in India” funded by CAMPA-MoEFCC.
Eligibility
- Essential Qualification: Master Degree in the field of Wildlife Science/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Ecology/ Marine Sciences/ Marine Biology/ Environmental Sciences from a recognized organization.
- Desirable Qualification: Candidate should have knowledge on marine biodiversity and have field experience in Marine ecosystem.
Duration
9 months.
Job Description
Carryout research in dugong habitats, seagrass assessment & conduct outreach programme for local stockholders. Place of work is Palk Bay & Gulf of Mannar in Tamil Nadu, but likely to be served in any parts of the Dugong range states.
Responsibilities
The Project Fellow should involve in rapid field data collection, analysis and report writing, also assist with PIs for implementing project mandate.
