About SERB
The Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) is a statutory body established through an Act of Parliament. Supporting basic research in emerging areas of Science & Engineering are the primary and distinctive mandate of the Board. The Board structure, with both financial and administrative powers vested in the Board, would enable quicker decisions on research issues, greatly improving thereby our responsiveness to the genuine needs of the research scientists and the S&T system.
Eligibility
The candidate must have a PhD in Physics in the areas related to ultrafast laser, atomic and molecular physics. Additional experimental experience with high harmonics generation, attosecond pulses, vacuum handling will be preferred. Evidence of design and developments of pump-probe optical setup is also desired.
Duration
The initial appointment will be for one year with a possible extension for the second year depending on the satisfactory performance by the candidate.
Salary
Payment of emoluments will be made in accordance with the DST rules.
