The Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Uttarakhand is organizing an Online Course on Recent Advancements in Micromanufacturing from November 23 to 27, 2020.

The objective of STC is to address various micromanufacturing technologies such as micro-USM, micro-EDM, micro-ECM, micro-ECDM, laser polishing, two-photon polymerization, etc. and their advancements.

National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand (NITUK) is located in the hilly terrain of Srinagar, Pauri Garhwal Uttarakhand. NITUK was established in the year 2009 under the Act of Parliament of India by the Ministry of Higher Education and designated with the status of “Institute of National Importance”.  The Institute has B.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. programs in 05 engineering departments and 04 science departments.

Course Objectives

The rapid technological progress demands the miniaturization of various components to cater to the need of various industrial sectors such as bio-medical, semiconductor, chemical industries, etc. To meet the demands, various advancements in micromanufacturing technologies have been evolved.

The short term course (STC) intends to delineate various technological advancements in micromanufacturing technologies adopted across the country. Further, the STC focuses on the research work carried out on micromanufacturing technologies to address the challenges during the process of miniaturization.

Registration Fees

There is no registration fee for the participants of TEQIP funded institutions.

The registration fee for all delegates from Industry/ R&D organization/ Academic/ UG/ PG/ Ph.D. (Non-TEQIP) institutions is ₹ 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only).
