Applications are invited for JRF (Metallurgical & Materials Engineering) Under SERB Funded Project at IIT Ropar for the year 2022. The last date of application is 11 July.
Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of a Junior Research Fellow to work on SERB funded project titled “Design of improved bond coat materials through codoping of reactive elements”.
The selected candidate will work in the IDEAs research group (ideaslab.iitrpr.ac.in) under the supervision of Dr. Pratik K. Ray in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. The research work falls broadly in the area of High Temperature Alloys.
Eligibility
Candidates with a Master’s degree in relevant Engineering/Technology (including Master’s degree by Research) must satisfy the following criteria, with a GATE score:
- M.E./ M.Tech. / M.S. (Research)
- General/ OBC/ EWS 70% or 7.5 CGPA and above
- SC/ST 65% or 7.0 CGPA and above
Note: Students in the final semester of their Master’s programs will be considered subject to fulfilling the criteria at the time of admission.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a Master’s degree in Sciences with a valid score in GATE/UGC/CSIR/NET§,# must satisfy the following criteria:
- B.E./ B.Tech.
- General/ OBC/ EWS 70% or 7.5 CGPA and above
- SC/ST 65% or 7.0 CGPA and above
Note: Students in the final semester of their Master’s programs will be considered subject to fulfilling the criteria at the time of admission.
Desired: Candidates should preferably have a good grasp over basic materials science (crystal structures, phase diagrams, thermodynamics and kinetics).
