About
The National Institute of Plant Genome Research (formerly known as National Centre for Plant Genome Research) is an autonomous institution aided by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. The Institute’s establishment coincides with the 50th anniversary of India’s independence as well as the birth anniversary of Prof. (Dr.) J. C. Bose. The formal announcement was made on November 30th 1997.
Candidates are invited to appear in a walk-in-interview before a selection committee for filling up the purely temporary position of Trainee Fellow for the period of six months in the DBT project entitled “Establishment of a Distributed Information Sub-Centre (DISC)” under the supervision of Dr Shailesh Kumar, Scientist, NIPGR.

Essential Qualification
Candidate having Master Degree or equivalent in Life Sciences/Bioinformatics/Biotechnology (any specialization) with strong interest in Computational Biology and First class/division throughout an academic career are eligible to attend. Preference will be given to candidates with fresh (passed in the year 2018) master’s degree.
Monthly Stipend
Rs. 10, 000/-
Tenure
Six months (01/10/2019 to 31/03/2020)
Nature of Position
The position is completely on a temporary basis and co-terminus with the project/scheme.
