Goa University invites applications to fill up the post of Medical Officer purely ON CONTRACT BASIS for a period of 6 months (Leave Vacancy), without any right/claim for regular appointment.
Goa University was established under the Goa University Act of 1984 and commenced operations on 1 June 1985. The university provides higher education in the Indian state of Goa. The traditions of Goa University date back to the 17th century, with the creation of the first university courses by the Portuguese Empire.
Essential Qualifications
- MBBS Degree from recognized institution / University or medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in the Part II of the Third Schedule should fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 18 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Completion of compulsory rotating internship.
- Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable
- Experience in the general Medical Practice or the concerned Specialty, as the case may be.
- Knowledge of Marathi.

The interested eligible candidates may walk-in for the interview at Administrative Block, Goa University, along with an application addressed to the Registrar, Goa University giving details in the prescribed format along with bio-data, self-certified documents of educational qualifications, experience, 15 years residence certificate and valid Employment Registration Card. The age should not exceed 45 years. (Relaxable to SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per State Government norms).
