JRF & SRF (Under DST Funded Project) at IIT-BHU, Varanasi: Apply by Oct 28

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) respectively in a Department of Science and Technology (DST) sponsored project titled “Design and Development of a Membrane Reformer Prototype for Production of Ultra-Pure Hydrogen from Methanol for Fuel Cell-Based Vehicle and Power Generators” sanctioned up to 23rd January 2021.

The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The candidates should possess essential qualifications.

Indian Institute of Technology Varanasi is a public technical and research university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Founded in 1919 as the Banaras Engineering College, it became the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University in 1968. It was designated as an Indian Institute of Technology in 2012.

Qualifications
  1. For SRF: M Tech/ B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or allied branches with Valid GATE/ NET Score + 2 years’ Experience
  2. For JRF: M.Tech/ B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or allied branches with Valid GATE/ NET Score.
  3. The candidates having experience in Catalysis or Membrane preparation will be preferred.

The upper Age Limit for SRF is 32 Years and for JRF is 28 years (relaxable for 5 years for SC/ ST/ Physically Handicapped/ Female candidates); in the case of non-research positions, the upper age limit may also be relaxed for the duration of earlier work in a project/ scheme subject to the Institute rules prevalent at that time. All things being equal, SC/ ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.

Application on Plain paper giving Name, permanent and correspondence address, names of father and mother, telephone no. and e-mail address, details of educational career (starting from High School or equivalent) along with self-attested copies of all mark-sheets & certificates and details of any research or other experience, etc., if any, should reach on or before 28th October 2020.
