The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Thiruvananthapuram invites applications for the posts of Junior Research Fellows at the institute.

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram (abbreviated as IISER Thiruvananthapuram or IISER-TVM) is an autonomous public research university located in Thiruvananthapuram, India. The institute is one of the seven IISERs established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, to bridge the gap between research and basic sciences’ education at the undergraduate level.

Project Title

Realizing distributed quantum computing with silicon-based spin qubits funded by DST, Govt. of India.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Physics or related fields such as Engineering physics, OR Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Electrical engineering/ Applied Physics/ Engineering Physics, with a minimum of 60% marks, selected through a process prescribed in any one of the following:

• Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests-UGC NET including lectureship and GATE. Or
• The selection process through National level examinations conducted by MHRD and its Agencies and institutions such as UGC/ llT/ llSc/ IISERs/ lllTs etc.

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and experience in semiconductor device processing, fabrication techniques such as lithography, metallization, etching; Electrical and Electronic instrumentation, Computer interfacing; electrical characterization techniques, cryogenic instrumentation.

Salary

Rs. 31000/- + HRA pm

Tenure

01-Year and extendable by one more Year subjective to the satisfactory performance of the candidate.
