The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad is looking for a research associate position starting November 2020 in the Information Systems area.
Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad is a business school located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It is consistently ranked among the top business schools in India. The school has been accorded the status of an Institute of National Importance by the Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India in 2017.
Key Responsibilities
- The research associate will assist in a research project related to the use of advanced and artificially intelligent technologies in organizations. Responsibilities of the research associate include a literature review and summarizing of research, research model creation and testing, creating the software design for collecting data, writing part of the manuscript, amongst assistance in other research-related activities.
- Applicants with some understanding of artificially intelligent systems and system dynamics would be preferred.
- The position is best suited for a person looking for a research career, such as for someone interested in pursuing a Ph.D. or looking for a job after their Ph.D.
Qualifications
- Candidates with undergraduate/ graduate (postgraduate)/ Ph.D. in management/ information systems/ engineering/ computer science/ mathematics or other related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with a graduate (postgraduate)/ Ph.D. will be preferred.
- Candidates should be proficient in Python and have some experience in using and developing cutting edge methodology for simulations.
- Candidates should be comfortable in econometric modeling and using scripting/ programming languages, such as R, STATA, or SAS.
- Candidates should have some experience in conducting a literature review by reading and summarizing research papers as well as academic writing in the form of journal publications, case studies.
- Candidates should have good oral and written communication skills in English.
Duration
The appointment is initially for 4 months and maybe extended later.
Salary
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly stipend of INR 22,000-INR 30,000 based on prior qualifications and experience.
