About the conference
While urban regions across the world present some of the most complex challenges with regard to environmental, economic and social sustainability, they also offer some of the greatest opportunities. The government has taken many initiatives like Smart City Mission, AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation), Housing for all by 2022 and Swach Bharat Abhiyan.
The present conference is an endeavor to focus on the challenges of urban governance and urban development for the ongoing and future governance. The challenges are manifold and thus urban governance needs to be looked at from fresh perspective and be given serious consideration to avoid future pandemonium in urban areas.
Thus, this conference will provide a platform to scholars, teachers, researchers, and other stakeholders to understand and deliberate on the issues of urban governance and understand the initiatives taken to make a robust governance model for urban areas. The conference aims to facilitate discussion on these aspects and envision future research
